Banff Itinerary with a Toddler
What we did + where we ate + plus how we navigated a toddler on vacation (let's be honest, which is really just parenting in a new place!!!)
We were fortunate enough to head up north for an early summer vacation to the Canadian Rockies. Before beginning with our itinerary of what we did + where we ate + how we navigated with our toddler, I want to speak to the immense privilege (financial, health, accessibility, work, etc.) we had of taking this trip. This is not an opportunity everyone gets, can take, or has available/accessible to them and none of that is taken for granted.
Calgary
This is not an essential stop, but we had a good friend who was local who we wanted to visit with + we’ve found that the pit-stop overnight to cut up travel time helps for our toddler (and frankly, us as parents too), so we decided to make this happen. We flew from EWR > YYC (shout out to Newark new Terminal A for the additional of playgrounds and upgraded food choices! Jersey Mikes! Playa Bowl! Bluestone Lane!!).
We stayed at Le Germain (which was great! and very kid friendly - they brought up not only a crib as requested, but a diaper genie and a baby tub - thank you, yes!). I’m so grateful when hotels and accommodations in general make an extra effort for families with young children. It is so appreciated.
